About Alchemy

Welcome to Alchemy, the online newsletter for the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (FHASS) at Sheridan College.

Alchemy is a biannual publication, published toward the end of the Fall and Winter academic semesters. Our goal is to connect readers with the programs and pursuits that make our Faculty such an exciting, innovative, and creative place in which to learn, teach, and work.

Alchemy was founded by Professor Sarah Tsiang in 2013. The current editor is Glenn Clifton, and he can be reached at glenn.clifton[at]sheridancollege.ca

Alchemy’s Mission Statement:

Alchemy is a connectivity hub designed to celebrate, illustrate, and share the diverse interests and pursuits of all members of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (FHASS) amongst ourselves, our colleagues at Sheridan, and our larger communities that transcend traditional institutional boundaries. With an emphasis on pedagogy, research, and interdisciplinarity, Alchemy aspires to embody our ever-evolving culture of creativity and to be both a platform and voice for who we are, what we do, how we do it, and why.
