Patsy Marshall’s Students Explore Creativity and Employment

Patsy Marshall’s “Introduction to Studies in Creativity” course this semester took a novel approach for student reflections.

The course provided students with four infographics, along with other SLATE material, so that students could complete 4 journal logs reflecting on issues related to creativity (one for each infographic topic, based on course curriculum).

As an example, Infographic 3 to correspond with journal log 3, emphasized the importance of creativity for employers. Students were then asked to discuss 10 reasons why employers are seeking Sheridan graduates who display/possess creativity and to comment on 5 statistics within the infographic as to whether they were surprising, or not.
