Jack Leung recently joined Sheridan and FHASS as ESL Logistics Officer. And he knows all about Sheridan logistics: Jack himself studied Accounting at Sheridan and graduated in 2013. During his three and a half years as a student he worked in Student Services, helping students with a variety of inquiries.

Jack loves sports, comic books, and his girlfriend (though, he wishes to make clear, not necessarily in that particular order). And if you’re wondering, Jack is six foot one and, to his bewilderment, he eats and eats but never gains weight. Currently, he is studying at Algoma University for his Bachelor of Business Administration, and hopes to go on to pursue a Master’s degree in Education (stream to be determined).

Jack hopes to continue working closely with students, and in the future, to become a professor, write a book, and retire.

Jack Leung answers Alchemy’s Proust Questionnaire:

Favourite virtue: I have two: Kindness & Humility.

Most important lesson I learned in kindergarten: Even if you cry, mom won’t be back until 3:00. So toughen up, and deal with it. These are words to live by.

Most important lesson I’ve learned this year: Hard work and perseverance pays off – always. So don’t stop trying.

My favourite qualities in a teacher: Positivity & Honesty.

My idea of perfect happiness: Spending time with the one you love; young and retired; tropical weather, but no insects; financially comfortable; world at peace; the Raptors have won multiple championships; Kristen Stewart is no longer acting; I still have thick, lustrous hair.

My favourite word: Juxtaposition. Found it in the dictionary when I was a kid. Still have yet to use it.

My favourite quotation, motto, or phrase: “Hakuna Matata.”  It means no worries, for the rest of your days. It’s a problem free philosophy. Hakuna Matata.

Language I’d love to be able to speak: Spanish. Or rather, Español.

On my bucket list: See my favourite animal, the Blue Whale, in person.

My favourite historical, literary, or cinematic character(s): Does Batman count?

My favourite food/meal and drink: Peking Duck – thin slice of roasted duck over a warm, soft flour wrap, with a stick of cucumber, a slice of green onion, and a drizzle of sweet sauce.

My favourite singer/musician/ band and song: Arcade Fire, “Wake Up.”

My guilty TV/film/gaming pleasure: The new Star Trek movies.
