ICYMI: Sara Cumming wins the 2020 Angus Reid Award

Sara Cumming is the 2020 recipient of the prestigious Angus Reid Practitioners Applied Sociology Award from the Canadian Sociological Association. This award recognizes the leading contribution of a sociologist who has committed scholarship into practice.

Sara’s dedication to the applied component of her work and the broader discipline has been exceptional. For over two decades Sara has worked actively as an applied sociologist effecting change in communities across Ontario and developing successful strategies for ameliorating hardship. She is a dedicated and passionate sociologist, mother, community leader, and professor.
