Hamilton Women’s Book Club
FHASS professors Robyn Read and Owen Percy delivered their second of two presentations to the Hamilton Women’s Book Club on March 28, 2016. Their presentation on Emily St. John Mandel’s 2014 dystopian novel, Station Eleven, generated a lengthy and diverse discussion amongst book club readers and was praised for broadening the generic horizons of several of the group’s members. The group, made up of women from across the arts, culture, and educational sectors in and around Hamilton, also hosted Profs. Read and Percy on September 21, 2015, when they presented and led a discussion on Helen Macdonald’s award-winning 2014 falconry memoir, H is for Hawk.
