Claire Meldrum on the Research Trail
Prof. Claire Meldrum has recently won two research fellowships in support of her current biography project about nineteenth century detective fiction writer Anna Katharine Green.
She received the 2018 Weston A. Cate Fellowship from the Vermont Historical Society and a Harry Ransom Center Research Fellowship in the Humanities from the University of Texas at Austin. She traveled to Vermont this past summer to conduct archival research for her forthcoming book, and will be traveling to Texas later this fall.
She was interviewed by Vermont Public Radio about her research and why Anna Katharine Green is the most famous detective fiction author no one’s ever heard of. Check out the interview here.
