Prof. Nicolette Little’s Research Grant
Ph.D student, part-time FHASS professor, and full-time English Mechanic Nicolette Little is currently in India, making the most of the prestigious national research grant she was recently awarded from Mitacs Canada. Little, a student in the joint York/Ryerson Communications and Culture Ph.D program, was awarded the Mitacs Globalink Research Award to travel to New Delhi with a team of researchers to study the inclusion of women in forming climate change strategies. The team will meet with government leaders, advocacy groups, NGOs, and national and international media between June and August in order to conduct a comparative study focused on Canada and India. The work is part of Little’s ongoing research on the relationship between gender, policy, and climate change.
