Paul Vermeersh is awesome on so many levels
Paul Vermeersh has been very busy of late! The author/editor extraordinaire is launching his very own imprint, Buckrider Books with Wolsak and Wynn. Buckrider Books will launch on April 16th with two poetry collections, Everyone is C02 by David James Brock, and The Stag Head Spoke, by Erina Harris, as well as collection of short fiction, David Foster Wallace Ruined My Suicide and Other Stories by D.D. Miller. For more on these three collections, check out the Wolsak and Wynn website.
Michael Ondaatje was recently moved to write a poem inspired by Paul’s work. Ondaatje’s poem was published in the New Yorker, and is titled “Bruise”. “Bruise” riffs off Paul’s poem “Lost Things”, which appears in the 2010 collection The Reinvention of the Human Hand (McClelland & Stewart). You can read Paul’s original poem on his website. Fans will also be happy to hear that Paul has signed a three book deal with ECW, and we can look forward to reading Don’t Let it End Like This Tell Them I Said Something coming this fall.
