Arts and Letters Showcase

The recent Arts and Letters Creativity Showcase was a smashing success.  The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and the Faculty of Animation, Arts, and Design launched an exciting event on May 7, 2013: The Arts and Letters Creativity Showcase, which celebrated the publications and creative productions from the two Faculties.  This Creativity Showcase was designed to shine a spotlight on the wonderful creative and intellectual work that the faculty have done in the past couple of years.  The event was also another example of interdisciplinary partnerships between Faculties, a key stratBeautifully Broken FILM-POSTERegic direction that Sheridan Faculties are actively promoting.

This Arts and Letters Creativity Showcase featured readings by Ian Williams, who was recently nominated for the prestigious Griffin Poetry Prize, noted poet and editor Paul Vermeersch, and Sara Peters, a new writer. The evening ended on a high note with the screening of Vladimir Kabelik’s latest film “Beautifully Broken,” a documentary featuring the life and work of Rafael Goldchain.

The event also showcased the works of Nancy Beiman, Anna Boshnakova, Anthony Falikowski, Andrew Fuyarchuk, Joe Morse, Heidi Overhill, Mikal Radford, Mike Walsh, and Mary-Lu Zahalan.
