Sara Cumming ponders in Portland

For the past two years Dr. Sara Cumming has been a member of the Board of Directors for the Association of Applied and Clinical Sociology. This year she was part of the organizing committee for the conference that was held in Portland, Oregon October 17-19.  The association is focused on two overarching goals; bringing together international applied sociologists and providing professional development opportunities for sociology students who want to work outside of academia. This years conference saw almost 200 delegates from five countries.  Next year Sara will be attempting to receive credentials as a Certified Clinical Sociologist at in Atlanta, Georgia October 8-10.
