Reminder: Sheridan Creates Returns on March 1, 2017
By Prof. Christian Knudsen (History)
On March 1, 2017, Sheridan will hold its second annual Scholars, Creators and Innovators Conference, a day-long event meant to engage, celebrate and advance a range of scholarly, creative and research activities across disciplines and departments at our Hazel McCallion Campus. The event is designed by faculty, for faculty. It’s a chance to showcase, celebrate and explore whatever you’re working on – research, scholarship, writing, art and other creative activities. This year the conference will also include the final research projects produced by new faculty from the Teaching and Learning Academy.
Look out for a call for proposals soon in the Insider. Faculty will be invited to submit proposals (individually or as teams) for presentations, workshops, posters, roundtables, creative marketplace sessions, exhibits, performance pieces, and more. Last year, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences was one of the largest contributors to the conference, which included 5 presentations/workshops in which 50 faculty and staff shared their research and creative activities.
