Supriya is thrilled to be a Professor of ESL in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Sheridan where she has taught for almost 5 years now. She began her teaching career soon after she completed her MA in English Language and Literature from the University of Mumbai. Very recently she completed an MA in Applied Linguistics from York University; she also has the Cambridge CELTA and the TESL Diploma. Technology-mediated language learning and teaching, and assessment are areas of immense interest to her.

Besides teaching ESL, Supriya is also a TESL trainer and has previously worked as a language, business communication and soft skills trainer in the software development industry. She is grateful that she has been able to teach/train in a variety of contexts like post-secondary institutions, private language schools, community colleges, federally-funded language programs and corporates in Canada and overseas.

Supriya is passionate about teaching and is always very happy to see her students achieve their goals and fulfill their dreams. She is aware that her life is so much richer because of her students and the stories they share. Her teaching journey has been a great learning experience for her.
