Favourite virtues:  In equal measure: compassion, loyalty, courage, determination.

Most important lesson I’ve learned this year:  Life is fleeting, so make it count.

My idea of perfect happiness: Many things provide me with perfect happiness: Girls’ nights out with my daughters, road trips with my husband and good friends, curling up on the couch with a good book, movie, or a favourite TV show with my family around me and a glass of wine.

In my opinion the secret to success is: Failure allows for the perfect learning opportunity, and as long as one goes forth with the insight, and wisdom gained from this failure, it will make room for eventual success.

My favourite quotation, motto, or phrase: “Don’t give up.”

The talent or skill I wish I had: I wish I could play the piano.

A country/place I’d like to visit: Just one…impossible? Italy, Greece, Scotland, Iceland, the Galapagos.

On my bucket list: Walk the Camino in Spain…or at least part of it.

My favourite historical, literary, or cinematic character(s):  Real: Plato, Alexander the Great, Hatsheput, Joan of Arc, Einstein, Mahatma Gandhi, Martin Luther King…just to name a few! Fictional – Hermione Granger (Harry Potter), Morgan le Fay (Mists of Avalon), Tyrion Lannister (Game of Thrones)…to name a few more!

My favourite painter/artist: Pretty much any art form from the Paleolithic to the Contemporary but I suppose if I had to choose one person, it would have to be Leonardo da Vinci, because his creativity was intrinsically linked to his genius.

My favourite singer/musician and song: Probably Peter Gabriel (“In Your Eyes”) gets first place but there are truly way too may amazing musicians to choose from: Annie Lennox, David Bowie, Bob Marley, Michael Stipe, Van Morrison, Adele, Sarah Vaughan, Billy Holiday, Louis Armstrong…just to name a few.

The most embarrassing song/album in my iTunes or music collection:  “Somewhere over the Rainbow.”

My guilty TV/film/gaming pleasure:  All things Science Fiction or Fantasy – TV, film or book.
